Pyramid Foam Tiles Sheets

Countless reasons explain why pyramid acoustic foam has become a go-to for studios worldwide. In addition to their geometrically mesmerizing form, the panels’ angular texture greatly increases the surface area for sonic management- be it dampening reverberations or sharpening articulation compared to flat planes. The phenomenon behind the soundproofing foam lies in its porous structure that captures airborne vibrations and transforms them into thermal energy.

The wondrous, four-sided pyramids absorb mid and large-range frequencies sufficiently while fostering a sleek, continuous style that can complement conference halls or home theaters. Thicker pyramids offer higher levels of noise control and resistance against low-frequency waves.

1” Thick Acoustic Pyramid performs best with sound waves of the mid and high-frequency range. They are most commonly affixed to ceilings but can also be applied vertically as a wall treatment. This economical, thinner wedge foam is meant for rooms that need some sound absorption but do not demand total control.

1.5” Thick Acoustic Pyramid foam is the exclusive unique thickness that no one on the acoustic market has in this shape and is a cheaper alternative. Perfect for echo or reverberation and acoustically sound deadening rooms, with a lot of bouncing sound waves.

2” Thick Acoustic pyramids are a popular option for controlling sounds in rooms of smaller to medium sizes, such as vocal booths. This thickness is ideal for those looking to execute their own soundproofing installation projects without hiring a professional to do the labor.

3” Thick Acoustic Pyramid harbor twice the absorbency power as their 2” counterparts and can therefore be used to manage more spacious environments.

4” Thick Acoustic Pyramid provides maximum effects in large spaces in need of topmost sound control, such as mastering rooms or drum booths. At 4”, the substantial wedges offer three times more low-end dampening than the 2” sheet. Environments that are prone to low-frequency issues call for our thickness option of acoustic foam.

* Please note: there may be air holes or “birthmarks” that cannot be controlled or replaced. If you need to see a picture of what it looks like please let us know.

* We vacuum pack the foam to reduce shipping costs. Please opened the package right away and you will need to give the foam 1-2 days to come back to its original shape. It will look a little misshaped and not measure to its correct size until after you let it expand back out.

 * To remove the tiles off of the wall (without adhesive glue) try to use a steamer and then you may need liquid paint thinner.

Our acoustic tiles are cut exactly to size as shown on our website but when we used a machine to compress the foam sometimes the acoustic foam will not come back to size.

The acoustic foam will have a +-1/4” tolerance.

If the tiles that are too big can be push and compress down to place when gluing to make it the correct size. The tiles that are too small can be stretch a little to make it the correct size.

If you have any questions or concerns about this statement please feel free to contact us.

Please note: When comparing different types of Acoustic foam with other companies it is most important to look at the density and ILD of the foam. All of our acoustic foam has a 1.7lbs density and ILD of 70.

All Noise Studio Control foam is a California 117 flame retardant specification, class B type. Please look at the specs sheet for more details and our disclaimer.

Also, please check your building codes before installing our acoustic foam. Different building codes apply to different locations. Our foam will not pass the E84 Test.
